UBC UNDERGRADS: We are currently not looking for undergraduate research assistants.
GRADUATE APPLICANTS: Unfortunately, Azim will not be taking on a new graduate student during the Fall 2022 admission cycle.
The CAMP has many volunteers helping with various aspects of conducting our research. The specific duties that a research assistant will be involved in depend on several factors including time commitment, experience, interest, motivation, and what is needed in the lab. These range from running participants through studies up to designing new studies and helping prepare manuscripts. Volunteering in a research lab is especially useful for those students who are planning to pursue graduate studies in Psychology. Indeed, having research experience is now virtually a necessary requirement of admission into a doctoral program in research psychology.
