New paper on Anti-atheist prejudice with Will Gervais and Ara Norenzayan in JPSP

Posted on Mar 11Apr 8 by sharifflab

Will Gervais, Ara Norenzayan and I have a new paper out in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology on anti-atheist prejudice (or, if you like, atheismism). In six studies we show how the quite intense prejudice against atheists is driven, not primarily by dislike, but by a profound moral distrust. This fits predictions made from the more general theory about religious prosociality.

You can check out the in press version of the paper here.
